Kusadasi is a resort town on Turkey’s Aegean coast with a rich and ancient history. It is believed that the earliest settlements in the world began here around 3000 BC just outside Pilav Mountain. • Shrine of the Virgin Mary – Nine miles from Ephesus is this beautiful Roman architectural house where Mary might have spent her last days on earth. It is thought that she came here with St. John while he spread Christianity throughout the area.
